Emma and Kellen’s Maine Wedding at the Bar Harbor Club

After nine wonderful years together, Emma and Kellen made it official and said their I-do’s on a beautiful August afternoon at the Bar Harbor Club. Kellen’s family has been summering in the Bar Harbor area for a long time, and it therefore felt natural to get married in this iconic Maine town.

Though Emma and Kellen grew up in Maine together, they now live Massachusetts. When they can, they enjoy getting back to their home state, whether it’s boating on Sebago Lake or skiing Sugarloaf Mountain (or getting married in Bar Harbor). We can’t blame them, as we’re partial to Maine and its wealth of outdoor activities and its amazing scenery.

We were excited when Emma and Kellen first told us they were getting married at the Bar Harbor Club. We always enjoy photographing at the Club, and it’s one of our favorite venues on Mount Desert Island. From its historic Tudor architecture to its beatifully manicured grounds to its views of Frenchman Bay, the Bar Harbor Club is an elegant venue that can accommodate large weddings with ease. The Club’s team has done an incredible job at every event we’ve photographed, and Emma and Kellen’s wedding was no exception. We’re always glad to know our couples will be in good hands on their special day.

We were also excited that Emma and Kellen had hired Jessica Riley Events. Jess is an oustanding wedding planner with a great eye for detail. More than that, Jess is warm and engaging, and she cares deeply about her clients and their experience. We always enjoy working with Jess, and she did such an awesome job for Emma and Kellen.

On their big day, Emma and Kellen were so cute together. From the moment Emma tapped Kellen on the shoulder during their first look to the moment it was time for their first kiss as a married couple, these two were full of smiles. All throughout the reception and long into the evening, they rarely left each other’s sides because they wanted to experience as much of the day together as possible. It was hard not to be inspired by their love for one another, and it was such a blast spending the day photographing them and their wonderful party. We wish them much happiness now and in the future, and may they always find their way back to the joy and love they experienced on ther wedding day.
