Kenzie and Robin’s Maine Wedding at the Bar Harbor Club

Congratulations to Kenzie and Robin! When they were married in October, they had been together for four years. Over that time they built a relationship around simple things they both enjoy: hiking, walking through their local town, trying new cafés and restaurants, and exploring both the mountains and the coastline.

The proposal reflected that same thoughtful approach. Robin planned an evening at a historic hotel, reserving a suite and transforming one of the rooms with balloons and other decorations for the occasion. Before proposing, he played a slideshow that looked back on the years they had spent together. After Kenzie said yes, they celebrated with champagne and cake, taking time to enjoy the moment.

When it came time to plan their wedding, they knew they wanted it to be on the coast of Maine. Kenzie is originally from the state, and it was important to them that their wedding take place somewhere meaningful. The Bar Harbor Club on Mount Desert Island offered exactly what they were looking for. Sitting right along the water, the venue has a classic coastal feel that fits naturally with the surrounding landscape of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Their wedding day arrived with the bright, crisp feel of fall. Kenzie started the day getting ready in the main building while Robin got ready in the pool house. They chose not to see each other before the ceremony, so when Kenzie walked down the aisle with her dad, they were both all smiles. After the ceremony, guests headed to cocktail hour while we spent time taking portraits of the couple around the Bar Harbor Club’s property.

As the sun set, we made our way back to the Club, which had been beautifully decorated by the team at Pinch Me Planning. The reception carried on into the evening with great food, heartfelt toasts, and plenty of dancing. We wrapped up the night as their guests gathered around them for a sparkler exit.
