Meet Leah and Cody! They’re avid outdoor enthusiasts who wanted their engagement session in Acadia National Park near Bar Harbor. Last October, they drove nearly three hours each way to make it happen. With their love of fall foliage, we chose the Jesup Path and Hemlock Trail near the Wild Gardens of Acadia for their portraits.
We had a beautiful day for their session. The foliage was at its peak, and we had a clear, comfortable afternoon—one of those days that reminds us why fall is such a great time to be in Maine. Leah and Cody brought their dog, Jax, since he won’t be able to attend their wedding, and it was important to include him. He’s a sweet, photogenic guy, and we always enjoy when couples include their furbabies in their session. After Jax headed back to the car for a break, we focused on Leah and Cody and continued exploring the trails.
We really enjoyed working with them and hearing more about their plans. They’ll be getting married this October at Loon Lodge Inn and Restaurant in Rangley, Maine. This will be our first time photographing at Loon Lodge, so we’re very excited to have the chance to work at a new venue.
We’re glad we had the chance to spend time with Leah and Cody ahead of their wedding and are looking forward to seeing them again this fall. Below are some of our favorite images from the session. Enjoy!
