Meet Kianah, a senior at Bangor High School! I had the opportunity to photograph her senior portraits last fall, and it was such an enjoyable session. When her mom, Deirdra, first reached out, she mentioned they were looking for a local spot with a natural feel. After considering a few locations, we decided on the Littlefield Ornamental Garden which is on the University of Maine’s Orono campus.
The original date for her senior portrait session was set for late September, but with rainy weather and busy calendars, we had to push it to mid-October. It turned out to be the perfect day. The light was beautiful, the weather was comfortable, and the fall colors were at their peak.
Kianah was a joy to photograph. She was easygoing, open to suggestions, and up for anything. She and her mom had never been to the gardens before, so we enjoyed exploring the area as we shot and chatted. It was a great way to spend an autumn evening. I’m grateful Deirdra got in touch and that I had the chance to meet and photograph Kianah.
