Samantha and Jeramey’s Maine Elopement at Marshall Point Lighthouse

Just a few weeks ago, Samantha and Jeramey drove to Maine all the way from Indiana. Though they had been planning the trip for a long time, they decided at the last moment to get married while they were here. And we’re so glad they did! It was such a joy photographing these two.

If you’re coming to Maine, you might as well get married on the ocean, and that’s exactly what Samantha and Jeramey did. Since they were staying in Port Clyde, they chose Marshall Point Lighthouse for their ceremony location. Marshall Point Lighthouse is one of the prettiest and most accessible lighthouses on the Maine coast, and we love photographing there.

Captain Ken Barnes officiated a heartfelt ceremony, and Samantha and Jeramey were so cute together. It was obvious they were excited to be getting married. The weather was perfect for picture taking – slightly overcast with no rain. While many brides might have preferred a bright, sunny day, Samantha could appreciate the weather, because she, too, is a photographer. How cool is that?

Afterward, we spent the evening taking pictures all around the lighthouse. Samantha and Jeramey made our job easy. They were so quick to laugh, and they really had fun together. I particularly loved their matching Converse sneakers!
