Rochelle and Matt’s Maine Wedding at the Bar Harbor Inn

Congratulations to Rochelle and Matt, who were married a few weeks ago at the Bar Harbor Inn! After nearly eight years together, these two tied the knot on beautiful Mount Desert Island because they share a love for the Maine coast. In their spare time, Rochelle and Matt like to travel, cook, explore nature, play games, listen to music, and watch football. They’ve traveled all over the world together, including Ireland, Switzerland, and Rome.

Matt proposed to Rochelle back in 2020 on Christmas Eve. He tucked the engagement ring inside a stocking stuffed with chocolate, which is Rochelle’s favorite candy. When Rochelle found the ring box, she immediately said yes without hardly even looking at the ring. Matt had to remind her to take a look at the ring, which Rochelle fortunately liked, and the rest is history.

These two received a little extra luck on their wedding day in the form of a rain shower that showed up just in time for their ceremony. They decided to brave the weather and got married outside anyway, which was lovely even if it was a little wet. Soon after, the rain clouds gave way to blue skies and a gorgeous evening. It turned out to be perfect weather for a wedding reception in the Inn’s Porcupine Room, which has a wraparound balcony looking out at the water. There, Rochelle and Matt celebrated their first dance as a married couple and celebrated the night away with their family and friends.

Thanks in part to the passing rain, we were blessed with the most vibrant pink sky one could hope for when it came time for Rochelle and Matt’s formal pictures by the ocean. Rochelle and Matt were so cute and natural together in front of the camera, and we had a great time photographing them along the cliffs and beach near the Shore Path.
