Naomi and Alexander’s Maine Wedding at the Union Bluff Hotel

Let’s give a round of applause to Naomi and Alexander! They were married on a gorgeous summer’s afternoon at the Union Bluff Hotel and Meeting House overlooking Short Sands Beach in York, Maine. Early in their relationship, they visited York and saw a couple getting married on the lawn at the Union Bluff Hotel. Ever since that day, the Union Bluff was on their short list of wedding venues, especially because Naomi used to visit York in the summer growing up. Therefore, it was no surprise when she and Alexander eventually chose to tie the knot there.

In their spare time, Naomi and Alexander like to play board games, visit the beach, and make food for friends while hosting dinner parties. Alexander is from Ireland, and his work requires that he travel a lot. So, he and Naomi have been to many exciting places together. Perhaps the most exciting of all (thus far!) was their trip to Paris, when Alexander proposed. Naomi of course said yes, and the two of them celebrated by having a romantic dinner at a little French restaurant.

On their wedding day, Naomi and Alexander were so excited. When it came time for their first look, they both had the biggest smiles on their faces. Naomi gave Alexander a gift – a necktie made from the same fabric as her wedding dress – and it looked great next to the floral print of her gown. It’s always so much fun when a bride decides on a dress that isn’t straight ivory, and Naomi’s dress really was one of the prettiest patterns we’ve seen in a long time.

Soon after, Noami and Alexander were saying their wedding vows in front of friends and family, many of whom had traveled great distances to attend. They were married by their friend, Dev, who officiated a loving ceremony with the beach and ocean off in the distance. After sealing the deal with a kiss, Naomi and Alexander exited to much applause and made their way over to the Meeting House for a fun-filled reception that included dancing and an ice cream bar.
