Mendy and Brian’s Maine Wedding at the Bar Harbor Inn

Join us in congratulating Mendy and Brian! They were married on a beautiful summer’s day at the Bar Harbor Inn. It had been Mendy’s dream to get married at the Inn ever since she was a little girl, and it was so much fun photographing her living out her dreams!

You might remember Mendy and Brian from their engagement session last summer on Mount Desert Island. Originally, Brian had planned to propose during a trip to Ireland, but COVID forced him and Mendy to cancel their trip. So, instead he did the best he could during the height of lockdown, which was to propose with a $20 Amazon ring that he and Mendy now affectionately call the “COVID” ring. A note to everyone: If you want to lock it down, then you gotta put a ring on it – even if you’re locking things down during lockdown.

Now that we’re mostly past COVID, Mendy and Brian have gotten back to traveling, which included their Maine destination wedding. They were joined by a small group of family and friends as they said their I-do’s overlooking beautiful Bar Harbor. The weather was perfect, and you really couldn’t have asked for more. A lovely ceremony was followed by dinner in the Porcupine Room, along with dancing and cocktails on the Inn’s upper wrap-around deck.

We had a great time working with Mendy and Brian. They were so quick to laugh, and it was a pleasure spending the day photographing them and their guests. Below are some of our favorite pictures from throughout their wedding day. Enjoy!
