Meghan and Phil’s Maine Wedding at the Atlantic Oceanside in Bar Harbor

Congratulations to Meghan and Phil! These two first met in 2021 on Hinge after Phil provided a witty response to Meghan’s playful prompt: “I’ll fall for you if you have good health insurance.” They set up their first date, and the rest is history! (We don’t 100% know whether they have good health insurance at this point, but we hope they do.)

We first worked with Meghan and Phil last October during their engagement session at Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park and Seal Cove Beach in Southwest Harbor. They were such a fun couple, and from that point onward we couldn’t wait to photograph their wedding!

Speaking of their wedding, Meghan and Phil knew they wanted a venue in Bar Harbor, Maine. Since they had gotten engaged on Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park and spent many trips exploring the area together, Bar Harbor felt like the perfect place to exchange vows. After visiting several options, they chose the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel and Event Center, one of our favorite wedding venues on Mount Desert Island.

The day began at the Willows, where both wedding parties got ready. Meghan and Phil then shared a private first look in the side garden, a beautiful and private rock-walled spot filled with greenery. We spent a few minutes taking portraits in the garden, but before long it was time for the ceremony!

One of Meghan and Phil’s close friends from Ireland presided over a heartfelt ceremony, which included readings from other friends. When they finally said their I-Do’s, the happy couple had the biggest smiles and everyone assembled broke into cheers and applause.

The rest of the day was filled with all sorts of excitement and good company. There were lawn games and cocktails followed by food, toasts, and lots of dancing. In the midst of it all, we managed to sneak Meghan and Phil away for a few pictures down on the rocky beach nearby, capturing views of nearby Porcupine Island.

It was a pleasure to photograph Meghan and Phil again. We’re so happy they asked us to help them remember this special day. We’ve included some of our favorite photos from their Bar Harbor wedding below. Enjoy!
