Lauren and Kyle’s Maine Elopement at Acadia in Bar Harbor

Say hello to Lauren and Kyle! These two were married on a beautiful October afternoon in Acadia National Park, one of our favorite places in Maine. They were joined by their three beautiful puppers and Kyle’s parents in an intimate ceremony on the ledges overlooking Otter Cliff. The sun was shining and the waves were crashing. It was about all you could ever hope for when eloping to the Pine Tree State.

Lauren and Kyle and crew traveled all the way from Pennsylvania to get married in Maine. Kyle proposed at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA, an incredible botanical garden that features over 1,077 acres of gardens, woodlands, and meadows. In their spare time, Lauren and Kyle like to discover new breweries, do crafts and woodworking, and go on adventures with their sweet doggos.

On the big day, we first met up with Lauren and Kyle at the Wild Gardens of Acadia near the Hemlock Trail and Jesup Path. We love photographing along the walking trails behind the Wild Gardens, as they make for a nice contrast with the ocean views for which Acadia is traditionally known.

After spending the better part of an hour on the trails, we all made our way to the Ocean Path, specifically the stretch of rocks that overlooks the ocean and Otter Cliff. It was there that Lauren and Kyle said their vows and sealed the deal with a kiss. We of course spent some time taking pictures there, before heading a little further along the Park Loop Road to finish with portraits at Otter Point.

It was such a lovely evening, incredibly warm for October, and the light was just so soft and perfect. Lauren and Kyle were a joy to photograph, and we had a lot of fun exploring the park with them and their entourage.
