Kristin and Travis’ Maine Wedding at the William Allen Farm

For any couple, reaching the ten year mark is an incredible milestone, and different couples celebrate in different ways. Well, Kristin and Travis decided to celebrate by getting married! Just one week before their ten year anniversary, these two tied the knot at the William Allen Farm, a beautifully rustic location known for its iconic 200 year old barn.

Kristin and Travis enjoy being active together, doing things like biking and gardening. They even played tennis on their first date! Travis proposed to Kristin at Solier Pond in Wallagrass, Maine. As Travis tells it, the two had gone for a walk to the pond. A few of their friends collect rocks from wherever they go. So, Travis said to Kristin, “Why don’t we start collecting rocks from our trips? Pick out a good one!” Kristin looked around for a while and found a nice, flat rock. At that point, Travis said, “You like that one? Okay. I’ve got another one your might like!” He got down on one knee and presented Kristin with an engagement ring. How neat is that?

Their wedding day was one of the nicest days in all of June. After a relatively cold and belated start to summer, Kristin and Travis were rewarded with a truly summery day. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky, and temperatures were in the 80’s. Guests had come from all over to celebrate with the happy couple, and, during the ceremony, the chairs were packed. Travis’ close friend, Tristan, delivered a heartfelt service, and, at long last, Kristin and Travis were married!

The rest of the day was filled with lawn games, dancing, dinner, and cake. Matt and I had so much fun photographing all the festivities, and it was a joy working with Kristin and Travis. After ten years together, it was clear they were so happy to get married. They couldn’t stop laughing and smiling all throughout the day.
