Katie and Jonathan’s Maine Wedding at the Bar Harbor Inn

Join us in congratulating Katie and Jonathan! They were married on a lovely August afternoon at the Bar Harbor Inn, a picturesque oceanside resort on Mount Desert Island, Maine.

These two met during the pandemic, which will always make their first date that much more memorable. In fact, it wasn’t really a date, because Jonathan accidentally stood Katie up by going to the wrong location. So, there they were, each at separate locations trying to find each other while surrounded by strangers with masks on. Fortunately for Jonathan, Katie gave him a second chance, which went much more smoothly. The rest, as they say, is history!

In their spare time, Katie and Jonathan like to travel, explore the outdoors, and watch Star Wars and Disney movies. Church is also an important part of their lives. Katie is a marathon runner, and she will be competing in the New York City Marathon in just a few short weeks. Go Katie!

Although they had never been to Maine before, Katie and Jonathan chose the town of Bar Harbor because of its proximity to Acadia National Park, its ocean views, and its abundance of lobster. The Bar Harbor Inn was the perfect venue for their wedding, as it sits right on the water and comfortably accommodates intimate weddings. The Inn’s smaller wedding space, the Porcupine Room was just the right fit for Katie and Jonathan’s 48 guests.

We had so much fun photographing Katie and Jonathan’s wedding. They were quick to laugh, and they clearly enjoyed being together. It was a pleasure spending the day with them and their guests, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness together!
