Jenna and Rick’s Micro Wedding in Kennebunk, Maine

Some couples just seem meant for one another, and that’s certainly the case with Jenna and Rick. They’re always making each other laugh, and you can tell they just love being together. That’s why it was was so much fun to photograph their wedding a few weeks ago at On the Marsh Bistro in Kennebunk, Maine.

Jenna and Rick met at work. They would pass each other in the halls and say hi, but that was about it. Then, one day, Jenna finally messaged Rick on Facebook. They met up with friends a few nights later and soon became inseparable. They enjoy spending time outdoors, and they’re always exploring new places to eat. Of course, one of their favorite pastimes is spending time with their beautiful son, Ricky.

On their wedding day, Jenna and Rick got ready in separate hotels in downtown Kennebunk (Jenna at the Grand Hotel and Rick at the King’s Port Inn. They had written notes to each other, and Jenna, who is very artistic, made Rick’s card by hand. It was super impressive!

Before long, everyone congregated at On the Marsh Bistro for the ceremony. On the Marsh is a beautiful property that, as you might have guessed, sits overlooking a large, grass-covered marsh. The property is thoughtfully appointed with all sorts of ornaments, and it was the perfect spot for a wedding.

Jenna arrived by trolley just a few moments before the ceremony began. She looked positively stunning in her wedding dress, which had just a hint of pink. But it was little Ricky, the “man” of honor, who really stole the show. He had just started walking, and he walked himself and the wedding rings down the aisle and into his dad’s arms. What a wonderful way to start the ceremony.

Jenna and Rick looked so happy all throughout the ceremony, and you could tell they were both excited to finally tie the knot. It was so cute watching them get married with Ricky in their arms, the three of them saying their vows as a little family!

The rest of the day was filled with food and fun. On the Marsh Bistro is, of course, a restaurant. So everyone had dinner upstairs in the restaurant’s event room. Then the party moved down into the tent, where there was much dancing. Partway through the reception, Jenna and Rick decided to do a send-off using glow sticks instead of sparklers. It was a great idea, and it was such a colorful way to celebrate the day.
