Hannah and Jared’s Winter Wedding at O’Maine Studios

Say hello to Hannah and Jared. They love going out to dinner, so it’s no surprise they decided to get married in Portland, Maine – one of the nation’s most up-and-coming restaurant cities. And they love to ski, so it’s also no surprise they were willing to get married in January on the eve of a snowstorm. Which begs the question: If rain brings luck on your wedding day, then what does snow bring? Double luck?

Well, fortunately these two aren’t very superstitious, because they also got engaged on Friday the 13th!

Hannah and Jared first met years ago, back when they both worked for the same company. But they were in committed relationships at the time, and they soon went their separate ways. Years later, they eventually reconnected over Facebook Messenger (thank you, Mark Zuckerberg). The rest, as they say, is history!

Now, Hannah and Jared didn’t get married on the warmest of days, but they braved the cold and traveled all throughout the city: They got ready at the iconic Press Hotel, traveled to the Eastern Promenade and Grace for pictures, got married at First Parish, and topped the day off with a reception at O’Maine Studios.

Speaking of the reception, it was awesome! Meagan from Maine Seasons Events brought the outdoors indoors with a winter wonderland theme that included living trees, frosted lighting, and a host of other cool (literally and figuratively) details. Something Stupid got the party going early, and just about everyone was on the dance floor at one point or another. By the time snow started to fly late in the evening, no one cared because they were all having too much fun.

Of course, we had a ton of fun with Hannah and Jared, too. It was a pleasure photographing their wedding, and we wish them much happiness now and in the future. Below are some of our favorite pictures from throughout the day. Enjoy!
