Christina and Nick’s Maine Wedding at the Bar Harbor Inn

Join us in congratulating Christina and Nick! They met during their first year of law school, but they didn’t reconnect until five years later. Since then, they’ve built a life around shared interests like hiking, traveling, and spending time with their dog, Caleta.

Nick proposed at the Frog Pond in Boston Common while they were ice skating. He planned it as a surprise and had Christina’s sister there to photograph the moment. Afterward, they went to dinner, where her best friend was waiting, and later attended an Andrea Bocelli concert to celebrate.

Christina and Nick chose Bar Harbor for their wedding because it has been part of their relationship from the start. Since they began dating, they’ve made it a tradition to travel there each year to camp and spend time together, often exploring nearby Acadia National Park. The area holds a lot of meaning for them, and it felt like the right place to celebrate.

Their wedding day began with Christina getting ready with her family at the Bar Harbor Inn & Spa, while Nick got ready off site. They chose not to do a first look, so they saw each other for the first time during the ceremony. When Christina walked down the aisle, both of them were smiling the entire time.

The ceremony was officiated by a close friend and felt personal and relaxed. Afterward, we took family photos and spent some time with Caleta, who joined for portraits and did great.

Their reception was held in the Reading Room and included toasts from family and friends, followed by dinner and dancing. Once the dance floor opened, Christina and Nick didn’t leave it until the end of the reception. Since their day ended later in the afternoon, we planned most of their portraits for afterward so they could spend as much time as possible with their guests and take advantage of the best light for their portraits.

We had a great time working with Christina and Nick! They were our final wedding of 2025, and it was a great way to wrap up the season. We wish them all the best as they start this next chapter together.
