Chris and Mary Ann’s Maine Wedding at the Bar Harbor Inn

Join us in congratulating Chris and Mary Ann! You might remember the photographs from their engagement session last fall. Just a few weeks ago, this wonderful couple was married during a beautiful ceremony at the Bar Harbor Inn in Bar Harbor, Maine.

Why Bar Harbor? Well, Chris and Mary Ann love to travel. They’ve been to many places together, including Kauai, Savannah, Disney World, and Nashville – to name a few. But Bar Harbor was their first real vacation together. Chris likes to hike, and he wanted to visit Acadia National Park. So, he and Mary Ann visited Bar Harbor over a long weekend and became enamored with its restaurants, shops, and outdoor activities. Once they were engaged, Chris and Mary Ann both thought Bar Harbor would be the perfect place to have their wedding.

Speaking of which, Chris and Mary Ann have an adorable engagement story. On another long weekend getaway, this time to Savannah, Chris and Mary Ann went for an evening walk along the river. It was a clear night with lots of stars. Eventually, they came to a bench in a secluded area near the waving girl statue. Once no one else was around, Chris got down on one knee and proposed. How romantic!

Their wedding day was filled with joy and excitement. The Bar Habor Inn has wonderful views of the harbor and the Margaret Todd, and it was in front of this backdrop that Chris and Mary Ann said their vows. The moment was shared by their closest family and friends, who were all so happy for them.

After the ceremony, we stole the happy couple away for a few pictures along the cliffs. Then, everyone headed to the Inn’s Porcupine Room for a small dinner reception. Even though the Porcupine Room is designed for a sit down reception, this group knew how to party. Once dinner was over, they rearranged a few tables to create a small dance floor and danced the night away. We’ve photographed in the Porcupine Room many times, and this was a first for us! It was great to see everyone having so much fun.
