Chance and Page’s Maine Wedding at the 1812 Farm in Bristol

Chance and Page first met in high school. However, it wasn’t until twenty years later that they reconnected and started dating. This time around, it didn’t take long to figure out they were meant for each other. In fact, they designed Page’s engagement ring together before Chance even proposed!

Though they now live out of state, Chance and Page both grew up in Maine. As a result, it was an easy decision to get married here, and eventually they’d like to move back. After considering several venues for their big day, they ultimately chose the 1812 Farm in Bristol, because of its beautiful grounds, its historic barn, and its great staff.

Our wedding coverage began as Chance and Page were getting ready. Unlike some couples who don’t want to see each other beforehand, Chance and Page helped each other get ready. It was such a fun and relaxed way to start the day, and we really think more couples should consider going this route.

Chance and Page were married by their good friend, Joshu. It was a humorous ceremony, with many laughs (and promises of a dystopian future ruled by cats). Afterward, we took the happy couple around the property for portraits. It was a little chilly, but the rain held off and the lighting was perfect. We had a wonderful time spending a few quiet moments with Chance and Page, and it was clear from the pictures that these two were so happy to be married.

From there, it was time for the reception. Page spent countless hours in the months leading up to the wedding crafting all sorts of decorations. It was so impressive! She made some of the most intricate paper bouquets and centerpieces we’d ever seen, and she and Chance grew a hundred or more succulents in their home to give out as party favors. Page’s mom is an artist, and it’s clear where Page gets her talent!

After dinner and toasts, the barn became alive with all sorts of dancing and merriment. COVID restrictions had been lifted in the weeks prior to the wedding, and everyone in attendance had been vaccinated. It was so nice to see so many happy faces dancing the night away after a long, hard year. Chance and Page spent most of the night on the dance floor, showing their guests how it’s done. It was such a fun night, and we were so happy for the two of them!
