Alli and Kyle’s Wedding in Southwest Harbor, Maine

Join us in congratulating Alli and Kyle! Last month, we had the awesome privilege of photographing their wedding in Southwest Harbor, Maine. In case you’re not familiar with Southwest Harbor, it’s a cozy little town on Mount Desert Island, right near Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Although Bar Harbor gets all the publicity, we love visiting Southwest Harbor. It’s less busy during the summertime, and there are all sorts of neat things to see and do – in addition to getting married of course!

Alli and Kyle are both from Maine, and so they couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. They’ve been together for just over six years, and they first met while working at Sebago Brewing Company, one of Maine’s best-known craft breweries. They love spending time outside, and they love cooking and eating great food. Even though they live in Maine, Alli and Kyle are die-hard Green Bay Packers fans. As loyal Patriots fans, this was hard for us to accept at first. But we forgave them in the end.

Despite rain in the forecast, Alli and Kyle ended up having beautiful weather all day long. The clouds parted just in time for the ceremony, giving way to the most gorgeous summer’s day. The wedding took place at Kyle’s father’s house, which overlooks Southwest Harbor. It was the perfect backdrop for a perfect day. Alli and Kyle were so excited to finally say their I do’s, and it was a lot of fun capturing their big moment.

After the ceremony, we stole the couple away for pictures down by the water. Then, everyone partied the afternoon away, enjoying great food and company. We had a blast spending the day with Alli and Kyle, and we wish them all the happiness in the world.
