Kevin reached out to us about four months before he and his girlfriend, Valerie, were planning a trip to Bar Harbor, Maine and Acadia National Park. What Valerie didn’t know was that this trip would be extra special because Kevin was planning to propose and had asked us to capture the moment!
Since they were traveling from California and visiting the area for the first time, Kevin needed help picking the perfect spot and creating a plan for the proposal. We exchanged several emails and had a video call to go over ideas. In the end, he chose a location along the Ocean Path Trail with a beautiful view of Otter Cliff in the background.
Fast forward to the proposal. It was a lovely fall afternoon, and we were lucky to have the spot mostly to ourselves. Kevin had told Valerie they’d be driving through Acadia and stopping to catch the sunset before their dinner reservation in Bar Harbor. When they arrived, Matt and I blended in as tourists. The two of them wandered across the rocks, took in the view, and then Kevin dropped to one knee and asked Valerie to marry him. She said yes!
After the excitement, we introduced ourselves to Valerie and had the pleasure of photographing a short engagement session for the newly engaged couple. Kevin and Valerie were wonderful to work with, and we truly enjoyed spending the evening with them. We’re honored Kevin trusted us to capture such a meaningful moment and wish them all the best in their life together.
