Last July, we had the pleasure of helping Jacob plan his proposal to his long-time girlfriend, Emily. Jacob reached out to us because he and Emily were visiting Bar Harbor, Maine for the first time, and he wanted to propose and capture the moment with photos. Since he had never been to Maine or Bar Harbor before, he needed some assistance in making his proposal a success. Jacob mentioned he had seen one of our proposal blogs (featuring Kelsey and Nico) and wanted something similar. After discussing various locations, he decided that North Bubble in Acadia National Park would be the perfect spot for his proposal.
On the day of the proposal, we hiked the the short trail to North Bubble early, before Jacob and Emily go there. It was a beautiful evening in Acadia, and luckily we encountered only a few people along the way. When Jacob and Emily arrived, they had the spot all to themselves. After taking in the breathtaking views of Jordan Pond, Jacob dropped to one knee and asked Emily to marry him. She excitedly said yes!
After giving them a few moments to celebrate, we emerged from our hiding places to offer our congratulations and introduce ourselves to Emily. We then spent the rest of the evening photographing a brief engagement session with the happy couple.
It was an honor to photograph this special moment for Jacob and Emily, and we’re grateful to have been part of their engagement story. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and love. Below are some of our favorite photos from their proposal. Enjoy!
