While home visiting Stephanie’s parents this past summer, Matt and I met up with Stephanie and Nick (and their two furbabies, Jax and Oakley) for an engagement session at Curtis Cove in Blue Hill. Stephanie grew up coming to the cove, so she knew she wanted to do their engagement session there. It really was the perfect spot with its beach, rocks, water views, and beautiful light. They even lucked out and had a warm summer evening for their session complete with a stunning sunset (scroll down to see what I mean)!
We started the session by letting Jax and Oakley run on the beach and get some of their energy out. After a few minutes of play they joined in on some really cute photos with their humans, then dashed off to run to their heart’s content while Stephanie and Nick had their turn. Stephanie and Nick were so natural in front of the camera. It often takes couples a few minutes to relax into a session, but these two looked comfortable from the very first shot! It was easy to see how much they loved being together, and that really shows through in their photos.
Stephanie and Nick are getting married this July at the Castine Inn. If their engagement session is any indication of their how their wedding will be, it’s sure to be an awesome day. Until then, enjoy some of my favorite photographs from their engagement session!
