Meghan and Phil’s story began in Boston in 2021. After joining Hinge, Meghan added a playful prompt: “I’ll fall for you if you have good health insurance” (because getting kicked off your parent’s plan is tough!). She quickly received a witty response from a guy named Phil, who happened to live just a mile and a half away. They set up their first date, and as you can see, it went well!
As a couple, Meghan and Phil love to stay active and go on adventures together. They’ve run a half marathon, gone camping (with a few close bear encounters!), hiked (including the Franconia Ridge in New Hampshire just two months into dating!), skied, and explored new breweries.
Meghan and Phil began a tradition of camping in Acadia National Park near Bar Harbor, Maine every October, with hiking Cadillac Mountain at sunrise being one of their favorite activities. During one memorable hike, as the sun rose over the mountain, Phil asked Meghan to marry him.
When it came time to choose a location for their engagement session, somewhere in Acadia National Park was the natural choice, though there were many beautiful spots to consider! After some thought, they decided on Jordan Pond and Seal Harbor Beach in Southwest Harbor.
We met Meghan and Phil at Jordan Pond last October. The fall colors were at their peak, and the scenery was stunning. We had a blast capturing this fun couple’s engagement photos and hearing more about their upcoming wedding. As the sun began to set, we drove the short distance to Seal Harbor Beach to wrap up their portrait session.
We had a great time working with Meghan and Phil, and we can’t wait to photograph their wedding at the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel & Event Center in Bar Harbor this coming July! Until then, enjoy some of our favorite photos from their engagement session at Jordan Pond and Seal Harbor Beach.
