Say hello to Liz and Mike! They met and become really good friends in college. However, it wasn’t until their Junior year that they started dating. They celebrated eight years together this last September! Liz and Mike describe themselves as low key. They enjoy getting dinner and spending time in Boston (which is where they currently live). They also love to travel and will be going to the Greek Islands for their honeymoon!
Mike proposed to Liz at Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth. At sunset, Mike took Liz down on to the rocks and with the water and Portland Head Light in the background he asked her to marry him. After Liz said “yes!” they started to walk back up the path, and who did they run into but Tim Tebow! He was super nice and celebrated with them. Liz said, “It was a crazy and amazing way to end the perfect night.”
Maine is special to Liz and Mike because it’s not only where they were engaged, but also where they took their first weekend trip together. Because it is such a special place for them, they knew it was where they wanted to be married. They’ve always liked the Camden area, so they chose the Vesper Hill Children’s Chapel for their ceremony and 16 Bay View for their reception.
As you can imagine, Cape Elizabeth also holds a special place in Liz and Mike’s hearts. That’s why they chose Kettle Cove as the location for their engagement session. Kettle Cove is a beautiful little spot with amazing views and lovely walking trails. We don’t get a chance to photograph here often, but when we do we always enjoy it.
We had a great time working with Liz and Mike. They couldn’t stop smiling and laughing with each other (see what I mean below). It was obvious that they enjoyed spending time together. They were a lot of fun to photograph, and we can’t wait for their wedding this May!
