Say hello to Lisamarie and Steve! These two met in college during art history class, and they’ve been together now for nine years. They love to travel, and they love coming to Maine. Bar Harbor is particularly important to them, because it’s one of the first places they visited as a couple.
Steve proposed to Lisamarie during a trip to Hawk Mountain, a raptor conservation center and observatory in Pennsylvania. They had talked about visiting the center for a long time, and, when they finally went, Steve brought a pair of binoculars. This made perfect sense, because you need binoculars to view the hawks. However, when Lisamarie went to use the binoculars, saw that Steve had printed “Marry Me?” on the inside of the lenses. How sweet! The answer, of course, was yes.
Lisamarie and Steve will be getting married in Bar Harbor this coming summer. They’ve rented a house and will have a lovely, intimate wedding ceremony right in the heart of town. After that, the plan is to head to Acadia National Park for pictures. We can’t wait!
Because we’ll be going to the park on their wedding day, Lisamarie and Steve decided they wanted their engagement session to take place in Bar Harbor itself. So, we spent their engagement session walking around town, checking out shops and taking photographs along the way. The weather was perfect – a beautiful June day. The whole time, Lisamarie and Steve couldn’t stop laughing and smiling. They were so cute, and it was clear they love being together.
