Meet Paige, a senior at John Bapst Memorial High School. When it came time to choose a location for her senior portrait session, she knew she wanted to stay close to home in Surry, Maine. And who could blame her? She lives just a short distance from a beautiful private beach and a scenic walking trail. When her mom, Holly, shared this with me, I was excited because I love exploring new places, particularly beaches!
On the day of the shoot, I met up with Paige, her parents, and their sweet pup. We kicked things off at a peaceful spot down the road where we captured some shots of Paige with her cello. It was also a great chance to grab a few adorable photos with their dog, who, definitely loved the camera.
After that, we drove a short way to the walking trail and private beach. We stopped along the walking trail for a few more portraits, then reached the shore just as the sun began to set. The timing was perfect, and the sunset was one of the most stunning I’ve seen in a while.
Paige was a joy to work with—always ready with a smile and up for the challenge, even when navigating some pretty slippery rocks! I truly enjoyed spending the evening with her and her family, and I’m so glad she asked me to photograph this special portrait session.
Wishing her all the best as she heads off to college in the fall. Scroll down to see some of my favorite photos from Paige’s senior portrait session in Surry, Maine. Until next time!
