Meet the S. family! They came all the way from Michigan to vacation in Bar Harbor, Maine. This was a special vacation for them because their oldest daughter, Gracie, was about to graduate from high school. With that in mind, Deb reach out to us because she wanted to schedule a combined family session and senior portrait session.
To help Deb decide on a location, we discussed a variety of options with her. Bar Harbor is beautiful and varied, so it can be hard to decide on a location. Ultimately, Deb wanted a location that looked different from back home, and she decided on Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park. Jordan Pond is a great spot for a portrait session, because it has walking paths, rocks, a stone bridge, and, of course, the pond itself. It can get a little crowded in the summer, so we usually photograph there in the early evening when it’s less busy and the light is softer.
We really enjoyed our time with the S. family, and we hope Gracie had a wonderful senior year! Below are some of our favorite pictures from the session. Enjoy!
