We first met this sweet family two years ago when Laurie and Jason brought their young daughter Lexi to Acadia National Park for the first time. We really enjoyed working with them on their last vacation, so I was excited when Laurie reached out for this trip.
On their last visit we did their family portrait session at Little Hunter’s Beach in Acadia National Park. For this session they wanted a location that was a little different from the last time, but was still on the ocean. We suggested Seal Cove Beach. It’s a cute little sandy beach with a quintessential Maine look. The only real drawback is that they don’t allow dogs. Since they would be bringing their fur-baby Sandy with them this was a big deal, so we also suggested a location we had been dying to use: Little Long Pond. It was the perfect second location with its pretty walking trails and pond views. And the best part? It’s dog friendly! As an added bonus, it’s right down the road from the beach. Win-win for all.
We lucked out with a great day for a family portrait session. It was wonderful to see everyone again and see how much Lexi has grown! This was the first time we had photographed at Little Long Pond, and we enjoyed exploring the new spot with this wonderful family. We ended their family portrait session on the beach as the sun was setting. It was a lovely way to spend a summer evening. We hope they had a wonderful vacation, and that we will see them again soon!
