We first met Renee, David, and Ava six years ago when Renee and David brought a much younger Ava on her first trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Since then, we’ve had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful family every two years when they’ve come back to Bar Harbor for vacation. Each time, we’ve photographed somewhere different. We’ve been to Cadillac Mountain, Jordan Pond, Ship Harbor Trail, and Winter Harbor.
This time, they asked if we could do their session in and around the Bar Harbor Inn. The Bar Harbor Inn holds a special place in Renee and David’s hearts, because that is where they were married. Of course we happily agreed!
We started their family portrait session at the gazebo behind the Bar Harbor Inn. This was where Renee and David had their wedding ceremony, so it seemed like the perfect place to start. We then went down the Shore Path for some photos on the beach. Our final spot was on the cliffs. We finished just as the sun was setting and the Margaret Todd was coming in to dock.
As always we had a wonderful time working with this fun family. It’s always great catching up and seeing how much Ava has grown since last we saw her.
