Meeting other photographers and photographing their families is always an honor. When Holly reached out about a family portrait session during their trip to Bar Harbor, Maine, we were truly flattered. Holly is a family, newborn, and maternity photographer based in Alabama, so it meant a lot that she trusted us to document her own family.
This was their first time visiting Acadia National Park, and they wanted to remember it well. Holly mentioned she wanted a few classic photos of everyone looking at the camera and smiling. More importantly, she wanted images that showed their family as they are, interacting, laughing, and simply being together.
For the location, Holly sent several images from past portrait sessions that she liked. After talking through the options, she chose the cliffs along the Ocean Path. It’s one of our favorite spots in Acadia, with open views and plenty of room for kids to explore.
The evening came together perfectly. We had beautiful weather, a great sunset, and two kids who made our job easy. It was especially nice seeing Holly enjoy being in the photos with her family.
