Meet the D. family! Katie first reached out to us because her parents’ 40th wedding anniversary was coming up, and she and her siblings wanted to surprise them with a family portrait session during their summer vacation in Southwest Harbor, Maine. We loved the idea and were excited to be a part of it!
Since they had never visited the greater Bar Harbor area, they asked for help choosing locations. We shared several options, and after discussing them with her siblings, they chose Sand Beach and a scenic spot off the Ocean Path Trail near Otter Cliff. This combination offered two distinct backdrops within Acadia National Park, both of which we love photographing.
On the day of the session, we met the D. family at Sand Beach. The weather couldn’t have been better. We spent time capturing group and individual portraits while getting to know everyone. Afterward, we headed to the Ocean Path location. We wrapped up their session as the sun began to set.
